VOB in Rockville Sucks!
As a concerned consumer I want to warn all who consider to service their BMW at VOB BMW in Rockville, MD. I have had numerous horrendous experiences at this service center. If you value your hard earned money and car I would not take your car there. They lie to you, they cheat you & sometimes they even steal from you literally! I am in complete shock of how they treat their customers and I find it absolutely amazing that people actually are still going there. I would say that even if VOB BMW is the only service center within 200 miles I would strongly consider going elsewhere. I think that it is time to get the word out about their dirty practices.

I would say lets open up this thread to complaints about VOB and I am sure you will get loads of specifics.
Me personally, I have been in there at least 10 times and every time I go there they either don't properly complete the work and they outright don't do the work. I could go into specifics but I am sure others would be more than happy to chime in with examples. |

Yeah I went to them for the first time yesterday morning. They do seem much much better than VOB. I also observed the other customers there and they do seem pretty satisfied. Customers were talking and Tischer actually seemed to be listening. I have an appointment next Wednesday so I will get a better idea then.

I've heard enough bad stuff about VOB.
I'm staying with Tischer.

Tate is rather small, and out of the way.
I met a VOB service guy at one of the H&H socials. Seemed pretty decent. Why did you go to VOB 10 times if you hate it so much? |

Try Carolyn at Tate. She has a 335 and has always been very nice. I had the oil cooler retro fit done there and there did a perfect job. They even HAND wash and dry your car. Never had a problem there. KNOCK ON WOOD.

As a VOB customer the dealership is very hit or miss. My service guy "Gint" is great. He is an M owner and will take care of you. My CA is awesome too and has always taken care of me if I have any questions.
On the other hand, I just posted about us almost walking out on a deal while signing the paperwork, due to the finance manager treating us like crap. Like I said, very hit or miss... |

VOB is a HUGE Problem by not being an honorable Dealership
How is it possible for a sales person to accept an offer IN WRITING, not once but twice, have it reviewed by the sales manager, and then at the 11th hour say sorry but we made a mistake??
If this is your idea for purchasing a $50+K car, I suggest stopping by VOB BMW. We wasted 4 days of our time working with Sales Advisor Angela Decint and were waiting for the final paperwork to be emailed when she had the gall to call us and say that she didn't read the number right on our email (sent to her multiple times). We were already very skeptical about working with this dealership given their reputation for being arrogant and unfriendly in many of the postings found on this and other sites. Her excuses including inverting the numbers and the font was too small on the email (give me a break!). After the entire deal was negotiated and the downpayment already accepted, they wanted to "renegotiate" the deal because they just couldn't do our numbers. We could try to accept this from a rookie sales person, but she claims to have 14 years in the business... We asked her for the email of the General Manager of the dealership and were given the name of Nick Popovici. We immediately tried to contact him and forwarded him all of the email correspondence. Of course, we expected him to protect his people, but thought he would at least give us the decency of a response. NOT!!! After almost 2 business days, we contacted the dealership again to make sure that he was the guy. After being hung up on at least 3 times by a very rude receptionist, we found out that this guy was just the sales manager, and that Jed Tenhoeve was the General Manager. We then tried to contact him, but of course, VOB had no intention to try to be professional. No sorry for the mistakes, no sorry we would like to earn your business, NOTHING, and it has been over a week! So we took our money elsewhere and purchased a wonderful car from BMW of Towson. They were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. VOB is absolutely the WORST dealership we have ever worked with. Think http://www.e90post.com/forums/images...es/mad0259.gif twice before wasting your time - and money with this poor excuse for a BMW dealership. |
