Where is the Engine Number?
Going thru registration for the car
Was wondering where the location of the Engine Number is? E92 335i 07 - Car N54B30A - Seems like a generic engine number, as like a SR20DET or RB26DETT That can't be right .. |

On the front of the timing case near where the head meets the block there may be a printed sticker with the N54 number and the engine serial number (not the VIN), and on the side of the block under the intake manifold. See http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38856 second picture.

Is there anywhere else besides the side of the block of the intake manifold because that seems like a bitch of a place to get too.
I took the spark plug cover or whatever off to see if there was a sticker there but nothing else. Can a dealer give you that information? |

Front of the cylinder head, beneath the intake cam sensor, there is a white sticker with black lettering and numbering on it. First line is the engine number, second line shows "N54B30A" on my car.
