problem after fitting charge pipe

Hi guys so i fitted my vsrf charge pipe today, first time ive delved that deep into the engine bay lol.

Basically cars running great with jb4 & charge pipe, but today i found when i do a WOT pull the car totally dies at around 100mph. It pulls like a steam train then all of a sudden a big judder, revs drop sharply and it feels like a 1 litre micra power wise.

Any ideas what could be happenimg here?

Did it die and then return to normal once you slowed down? Or did it die and now it doesn't run right at high boost levels?

Sounds like you blew some connection off at high boost pressure. I would go back into the engine bay and inspect all the connections.

It juddered, almost like it missed a gear of something & then it stayed low on power until i shut off and re-started the car

Current codes stored 2d25, 30ff, 2c7f

Cheers

30ff - boost leak. Did you get a BOV with the charge pipe, or are you still using the original bypass valves? First suspects are bypass valves, but then double-check your connections at either end of the charge pipe to see if they are sufficiently tight. If you got meth bungs make sure the plugs are tight.

Make absolutely certain the charge pipe is properly seated on the throttle body, and that the C clip is truly locked into the slot it goes. When I replaced my charge pipe, the pipe was easy to take out but hard to position just right to re-install it. But as others have said, could be the bypass valves or another boost leak

I will check the bypass valves as they are connected to the charge pipe, lastnight i noticed the jubilee clips werent as tight as they could be on the end of the charge pipe so i tightened them up but i havent had the chance to do a WOT run yet. low speed bursts it feels fine and turbos are spooling up fine aswell.

Ill give the car a good luck over tomorow as im a tad rough after a heavy night lastnight lol

What charge pipe do you have? I replaced mine with a VRSF C-clip pipe and it does not seem to lock into place very well and I get the 30FF code as well (now for about 5 months...ridiculous).

You're sure the CP is pushed all the way on? I had to really push my ER pipe into place, then mess around with the c clip to get it to lock in place. Maybe the O ring isn't seated in the slot of it around the pipe?
