Do you enjoy driving?
The best part of my day is my commute! One of the best memories I have is me and my brother driving from San Diego, CA to Fort Lauderdale. FL. Grant it, we were in a Uhaul truck towing a car, but it didn’t matter. I was behind the wheel and we had a blast! There have been times where I would just hop In the Z4 and would disappear for hours just to clear my head. When I lost my dog a few years back due to an illness, I remember driving for 7 hours! I had nowhere in particular in mind to go, but driving was the only thing that calmed me down and helped me not to fall apart. On my bucket list is to attend at least one CannonBall Run. Now that would be a blast!

It really depends. I do love driving, but it can get boring at times. I used to drive to/from Tennessee and Miami four times a year for the past few years, and while I definitely enjoyed some of it, I was bored out of my mind for parts of it. Granted, I was driving alone, so that was part of it. Definitely a positive and memorable experience, though! Aside from that, I do enjoy road trips with friends, and I'd love to take a road trip out to California or up to Newfoundland in the near future.
When it comes down to just pure driving, I can absolutely see how going out for a drive can make you feel better. Back when my ex broke up with me, I just went out and drove the shit out of my Z (350z) around some secluded parts of south Miami (it was late). Really made me feel a lot better and just cleared my head. I'm driving an '02 F-150 at the moment, so it's not exactly "fun" to drive, unless I'm off-road (then it's a blast), so I don't really get that feel anymore. But when I had my 2008 350z (heavily modded, btw), I would run it out to the mountains. Nothing beats those curvy mountain roads! Truly an awesome experience. I absolutely loved driving the Z every single day, so I'm sure I'll be back in that boat when my M4 arrives, haha. |

we love driving and road trips.
we did chicago to orange county in the bmw 550. that was pretty much the coolest and scary trips. recently did a laguna beach to san francisco run in the lexus. admittedly, we took the faster 5 route back. lol next weekend we're doing a canyon run in the porsche.

I love driving! I find small reasons to drive long distances all the time, such as traveling 30 miles away to get a certain type of food or 40 miles to the dealer when the closest is about 10 miles away.

I MUCH prefer to drive alone or by myself in a caravan with others in their cars. Long distances, short distances...doesn't matter. There's only really one friend of mine I even like to have in the car with me. I like the solitude for hours on end. I even like the way long drives alone wear me out. I'm just weird in that way, I guess. |

Love to drive, hands down. Always have. Always will. Love solo road trips, trips with friends, and with family. They are all different and great in their own ways.
I've had some memorable road trips, but the one that stands out as the top of the top for me was renting a Rav4 in Iceland and driving the entire Ring Road around the whole country over 10 days, sleeping on campsites and just doing all sorts of hiking, camping, photography (the main reason) and ... driving. That was a solo trip so it was just me and the road. It was beautiful. I also drove the Great Ocean Road in Australia, in a rented Camry, lol. So yes, it matters who you're with, where you're going, and what you're driving, but sometimes, maybe only one of those things matters - doesn't have to be all 3. But I don't need a road trip, I can just get in the car and drive the country back roads or along the ocean or even just around town and it's a way to clear my head. |

I mean a love of driving is kind of what binds us car enthusiasts together in a way, isn't it?
I consider myself a driving enthusiast!! (And a car enthusiast, too) |

Not necessarily. Some people are in it just to stare at them. No really, just look at all the "Stance" guys...most of them CAN'T drive their cars (like physically impossible to drive them over anything that isn't racetrack asphalt). I just don't get it...

I know for me, no matter what car I've had, I always enjoyed driving it down from my first hand me down 1994 4Runner. Driving solo at night is one of my favorite kind of drives. Don't get to do it much anymore, but when I do, it's awesome. |

I love driving, I love going on my own in strange places and end up where ever. I actually have a sleeping bag and a tent in my car always just in case I can't find even a hotel and I'm in some shitty place in the middle of wilderness. Last summer I did a tiny road trip which I'll be doing again next year. I can not wait, I've actually gotten the maps of Canada to my phone already which should be enough said about enthusiasm.

iRobot, that scene where Bridget Moynahan's character looks at Will Smith's character and goes off on him about how nuts he is for wanting to manually drive the car...that's where I am REALLY now starting to fear we are headed. Eerie that Audi just did that high speed test in a driverless car, huh? 10 yrs. later...
