Main and EGR Thermostat Change? Costly?

evening all - it's not looking likely I'll be able to swap my 330d for a 330i soon and baring in mind I'm doing very few miles in her daily I want to get the Main and EGR stats changed just to make sure everything is up to temp as soon as possible.

Is changing these a big job? How much is it likely to cost to get a garage to change them?

Thanks
James

EGR stat is £30 and literally a diy job, if you know how to open the bonnet then your proficient enough to do it in 15 mins tops

main stat a bit more of a job and I paid about 170 on my 320d couple years back

I changed mine 2 weeks ago, got parts from BMW £60 for the main stat, £30 for the EGR and 3l of coolant £23

took me about 1 hour to do the whole job, anyone with basic knowledge can do it.

dont buy cheap parts only fit bmw stats

Check temperature in hidden menu.
Search you tube for videos.

1 hour for both is bit exaggeration unless you are trained mechanic.
Shall we say 90 minutes if you know what you are doing and 120 minutes if you are doing it first time.
And I'm including time to fill coolant and bleeding.

Is that 90mins for the 2 litre or the 3 litre ?

When i look under the bonnet on mine i cant help thinking that the main stat is a big job...i did the Egr stat as said pretty quickly on my E60 2 litre, as mentioned thou only use OEM Bmw parts..
