Changed number plate lights from ebay-special

Pleased with the results!

One side was already out so the before and after shots aren't a 100% comparison, but looks a lot nicer! Went for mid-range £20 ish ebay LED ones. No error codes (yet!).

A cheap "mod" worth doing I reckon

Done this too and love it! But some people do think it's too bright... The oem LED ones are lot dimmer and do look a bit classier lol.... But I like this

It could just be a slow exposure making them look so bright, I had the same problem taking pics of my LCI rear lights and interior LEDs; my sig is another prime example as the angel eyes don't looks so ridiculously bright in real life.

As above, obviously pictures are never real life, they are not as bright as in the picture! And they'll likely slightly dim after some use.

I think that the LEDs I put in the numberplate holders on my old 330d were £6. Never had a problem with error codes and it freshened up the rear nicely. Sure I bought them off ebay from a seller called Ultra-Hids.

I got some at a similar price off Amazon a year ago, never had any error codes in all that time

There's hundreds on there, from like £5 to £50, "all" error free... these were from a link from another e90 post which had actually had them and were definitely error free

Mine were £7 and touch darker than the op's, advertised as error free whichever they were.. For about two week.

I've left them about the right colour.
