low stock psi?

I was browsing the forums and found something that said the stock psi is 8psi. I bought one of those wifiobds and ran dash command and when i was looking at the boost guage it only ran to 4psi. My question is that is that normal or am i running lower boost then stock?

You're not likely getting an accurate reading. Is that 4psi at WOT? If you're under the factory boost target at WOT I'd say you have a leak somewhere, but that'll typically throw a code.

I don't believe it is accurate, just because i didn't get any codes/engine light and on the app it just caps out at 4 even at WOT.

If your maxing out at 4psi your would get the 30ff code low boost psi. So where did you tap in your gauge?

he said he got some wifi obd thing running a program, not an actual gauge

I'd say it's just not reading right, your car's likely fine.

If you are using Dashcommand, other iphone apps or something like a scangauge, the obd2 reading will be limited to 4psi even tho the car is boosting fine. Don't worry it's just the reading that is bad but the car will be boosting fine !

Im sure its fine, and not reading correctly. Car would be extremely slow if it was only at 4psi.
