Awesome non-FBO tune
With all the posts about world record tunes and an awesome selection of new single and duel turbos, I thought I would post something for us non-FBO people. There are many people that don’t want to go FBO for different reasons (like under warranty, or the cost). I am stock other than DCI intakes and a 7” intercooler. Someone could have similar results 100% stock, but FMIC is always a good idea. This spring I do plan on going FBO, but for now I’m sitting pretty good.
I decided to have Wedge tune my car and it is an incredible difference. I never imagined that a custom tune would add so much more power to a basically stock car. Below is a screen shot of virtual dyno showing 3rd gear pulls the OFT Stage 1 +FMIC map, Wedge 93 octane pump gas map, and Wedge E30 map. Yes the virtual dyno is not a real dyno, but it is a good comparison of these 3 tunes. I took my car to the track and pulled a 12.5 @ 110. That is not an awesome ¼ mile time, but it was a bad track day with a strong head wind. There was an E90 there that is a regular and normally pulls 12.4, and the best he could do that night was 12.7. He is FBO with JB4 running an E40 mix. I have a lot less money in mods than he does and my car pulls very stong. http://www.datazap.me/u/nonecure/wed...zoom=1110-1194 |

where all 3 virtual dyno logs on the same stretch of road? I can do 5 logs the same night and have them all vary greatly in results if the road isnt perfectly flat.
