Need Wheel Locks? - Great Deal!!!
Once again I stripped one of my OEM wheel locks getting it off to change into my winters. Those things are completely useless. Second year in a row I've had to replace them. I torque my bolts perfectly. The regular bolts come off like butter. But those f'in OEM locks are always a pain in the ass. This time I searched for an alternative and found something that has great reviews. Then I found them on Amazon.ca for $12.00!!!!!!! Regular $60.00!!! So if you need a set....

I've had the exact opposite experience.
With McGard locks on my old Audi, the key would strip all the time.. they're aluminum or something.. got rid of them after ordering an extra pair overnight for way more than they're worth. With the BMW OEM locks, I've never had issues. Are you using a torque wrench? |

The lock heads and key is very slippery. Be-careful when torquing and carefully seating the key properly. It slips and strips very easily.

Don't torque down the wheel locks the same as the other bolts,
I would just hand torque them tight and maybe a lil bit past tight, certainly not full torque as the other bolts 4 out of 5 torqued to spec will hold the wheels no problem |
