How much for dealer to replace vacuum lines with Turbo replacement?

Hi Everyone,
I'm just wondering what the dealer tried to charge you to replace your vacuum lines while replacing your turbos under warranty?

I have my car at the dealer now getting the turbos replaced and the SA tried to say it would be 800 for 3 hours of labor and parts. I'm pretty sure I've seen people say the dealer said $300 or around there so I'm just trying to get an idea. thanks in advance

From what I've read on the forum it's a fairly easy DIY... taking less than an hour of labor and $20 in parts...

yeah I'm not going to have them do it. but I was just trying to see how much this new SA was trying to take advantage of me for.

All BMW lines should cost around $100 total for all of them. Labor should be 2 hours tops. Get an itemized cost breakout. They may also be including boost solenoids (100 each) or vacuum canisters (30 each).

If anything, only have them replace the lines that go from wastegates to solenoids since those are a pia. All the others you could easily do yourself.

I'm gonna go FBO need DPS FMIC and Exhaust i'm gonna have aspec put them in just have them replace the vacuum lines at the same time or something

They are f**ed up. One at the back is half way decent. One at the front is "impossible". Getting the hose off not too bad since the wastegate barbs are metal, so cant break! Slipping a silicone hose back on them is the crazy part. I used 3.5mm, have a feeling 4mm would be easier...for the one on the front took out vacuum canisters, bracket etc. to get some room

hands are bruised and sore

Car runs and seems to sound so much better tho.

For the wastegate ones, just get a good idea of where the lines are supposed to go before you yank them off. If you have small hands, it shouldn't take more than a couple of seconds if you know where the lines go.

For the other lines, don't just yank it off with force. Cut a slit where the vacuum line meets the nipple and "peel" it off. #nipple
