More problems!

Engine has been surging around idle about 200-300rpm. Pulled up to a light today and engine shut off on its own. Put it in park and started it back up; took an extra 20seconds or so of cranking before it started. Engine performance warning came on the dash. Drove another couple miles and stopped at an intersection and the engine shut off again! Put it in park and it took about 45seconds of cranking before it started. Engine performance message went away and the engine stopped surging. Got it home and parked it. Made an appt for Saturday to see what's wrong with it now.

Post the codes and details once they are read out.

I don't have a code reader that reads bmw specific codes.

Got it back this evening. They replaced the pressure regulator ( doesn't specify; I assume fuel), oxygen sensor (doesn't specify which one) and both NOX sensors.

Really - an NOx sensor or any of the SCR system components would not cause a running problem. And if there is a SCR problem due to a bad NOx sensor - both cannot be bad - not cheap either!
Fuel supply related - OK perhaps - O2 sensor - doubtful...I do not think they have a clue.

I asked how any of what they replaced related to the car stalling out 2X. They said that if the oxygen sensor detects too much or too little fuel the engine will stall out.

Yeah I agree that they are just throwing parts at it.

Since I removed the JBD prior to going to the dealer the idle surging went away, and it didn't stall out the 6 mile drive to the dealer.
