Any Definitive information on fuel pump yet?
It has been over a year and still by reading hundreds of emails, there is no definitive word regarding whether the fuel pump problems have been resolved. I have been hearing about Bosch, RMFD pumps and bla bla....
Someone has to know something definite about the fuel pump changes? CAs? Insiders? Is it fixed or we are still given sugercoated lies. I don't care if the car has lights go off, leather gets torn, butler gets broken, car makes croaking noises etc but it makes me paranoid to think what if the car breaks down in the middle of nowhere where you can be potentially stranded for hours. How do you guys drive long distances knowing that you are driving with the fuel pump, that is going to fail sooner or later. Perhaps in a traffic jam? Don't mean to revive old threads. Has there been any updates on this old topic? |

I don't worry about it... I've driven up the coast and back and forth between Ventura County and LA all the time.
In a traffic jam, pull off the freeway. The fuel pump didn't just die for me. I was able to inch along for 20 miles through traffic to the dealer. It was fixed in a day.
