Unboxed Motiv Port Injection kit

Contents:
Various fittings. Injectors. Rail. FPR. Some hoes, I mean hose.

Overall, this thing is gorgeous and I can't wait for it to be pushing me to the limit of the Motiv 750 kit. Big thanks to SteveAZ for the BBQ today and allowing me to take it home early!

To my knowledge the PI kits haven't really shipped yet. Steve is doing my Stage 3+ fuel pump... No point in installing PI kit yet, AEM system hasn't arrived to give it a pulse.

Jake has only published a dyno of it doing e50 and hit 700whp... I plan on and know that everything I'm getting can handle 100% e85 no problem. 750+ would be nice to see. I guess we'll see!

Let me know how it works out, computer programming necessary to make it work too please. I'm looking at this and the Vargas double shotgun as potential upgrades and I'm waiting to see results for both before I decide which way to go.

AFAIK there is no computer programming with the AEM system I purchased from MOTIV... it takes care of it all. You can use AEMTuner on it, but I don't think its necessary. Even if it is, it's not something I'll be doing. I leave that up to the pros (Jake in this case). This and the stage 3+ fuel pump from Fuel-IT can handle 100% e85 on the 750 kit.

If you have any questions at all, I suggest reaching out to Jake @ MOTIV. He has been awesome through the whole ordering / design process.

Have been working with Jake already. Just wait in to see how it works on a few cars. Programming wise I understand it's self contained but I want to know how the stock CPU integrated with a backend flash, Juicebox4, and Cobb will react to it. They may be cool or not notice it or they may say what's this and have conflicts. Just don't want to be the first and have to work out the bugs and have all the different vendors pointing fingers at each other saying it's the other guys stuff that's the problem. Lol

Terry is already testing with the CPE port kit. He isn't using anything as highend as the AEM to drive the injectors but it is the same thing. JB4/Cobb stack with AEM will work fine just a little overkill.

Ended up doing a trade with Jake, another customer wanted the silver... they were supposed to come black-- I didn't care either way.

PI/AEM officially ships next week, so I'm back to waiting for it to ship again. Jake had some delays with the AEM wiring harness... so even if I kept the silver one in my possession I have nothing to run it.

I promise updates when AEM arrives and when it gets installed. I wouldn't hold your breath, probably won't be done until mid January at this rate

I hope there is a less expensive option than a $1,400 ecm available.

To do what? Just to drive the injectors? Sure.

It won't have the potential an EMS4 has, but there's nothing super difficult about doing that. JB4 could batch fire them, and IIRC Terry's using that to drive his CPE setup.

Terry (BMS) is working on the CPE beta PI units using some $300 box. I'm sure there are others. Give it time, BMS will come out with a comparable, likely cheaper, product.

My justification is that AEM isn't just running fuel, it's also controlling the wastegate and includes all of the fail-safes that the $300 box won't have. That alone justified the cost for me. Otherwise I'd be either running boost off a manual controller or wastegate spring. Neither of those are options I care to endure. I like the set it and forget it mentality.

Split Second..... But I believe Terry is working on integrating a similar "in house" solution with the JB4.

Joe, that Avatar is BA....do you have a high res copy of it I can use on our website?

Terry has purchased a MOTIV turbo kit from us and we are excited to see how he proceeds(no pun intended) to handle tuning and fueling it. We have our methods but variety is the spice of life and people want to have options and we want them to be available.

My guess is he will still do his fueling and tuning.
