V2 and speed limit defeat

Hi,

I need to know whether the PROcede V2 will technically correct defeat the speed limit of the 335i or not. It makes no sense for me when the car can exceed 155 mph and implausible speed codes, etc. are thrown. I know that the speed limit defeat is not officially supported, only for "dyno use". However, in Germany it is legal to drive unlimited speeds on parts of the "Autobahn". Can I use the PROcede to defeat the 335i speed limit without throwing any codes or side effects to driving assistance systems ? The answer could be a clear "yes" or "no".

Thank you,
Eugen

I think it's interesting that dinan has removed the speed limiter with their program. I know it's been done in the past, but I didn't think they would do it with the 335.

Hey eugene,

My car was not a sports package equiped car and I was able to hit 160. The only issue I had was that in 4th gear where my limiter was set at 135 I would get a limpmode around 7000RPMs all I had to do was shift the car at 6500Rpm's and the car acted totally fine. This was on a private road ofcourse.

I sure hope you guys have W, Y or (Y) rated tires if you plan to do this for extended periods of time... Z rated won't cut it.

Thank you for the feedback, guys. I think this is a serious question, worth for Shiv to chime in. If he likes to sell professional products with appropriate prices he should get used to give open and professional answers. No need for playing cat and mouse. ECU flashes eliminate speed limiters in a way that all other driving assistance systems will continue working correctly. As written, this time I really need to know.

I would have no problems being able to shut off the driving assistance systems completely. Then everything would be in my responsibility. This is not possible with my e93. So the speed limit defeat must be implemented correctly or not at all.

It's my life.

Just put up a new map and firmware on the site. See link below my sig. It dropped the clamp speed a bit so that your issue should be fixed. New firmware also cleans up speed signal replication a bit. The speed limiter defeat has been tested on a few race cars. There has been no reported side effects with regards to stability control. This is expected considering the stabiity control module is a separate computer that gets it's own dedicated signals directly from the ABS sensors.

Small note; I did notice that my intermittent wipers do not work correctly with the speed limiter defeated.

Yea, I know I'm pretty sure it was on. Have to check again, only reason I was putting it on was because there was a cop.

if they did it to my 1995e34 540 i don't know why they wouldn't have done it on a newer tune on a 335 in which the tune costs 4 times as much but gives 4*the power!!

it makes sense for them..amg offers speed limit defeat options now..before i think it was just standard..yes companies are getting scared i assume for insurance reasons or something but damn..i don't know many tunes that don't delete the governor..most do...esp if its a flash and not a piggy..but i have seen piggy-backs with it as well!!! i just think it's stupid to make a tune and not have it at least as an option...whats the point..what about high-speed tracks or barren roads that stretch for miles!!!! if you spin out on the highway at 155 your gonna die just like at 180...so what is the difference the milisec difference isn't gonna save you!!!!

There is a big difference safety-wise between driving 150 mph and 175 mph. Cars get airborne easily at speeds over 160. No way a 335 without a minimum of the M-sport package should drive faster than the limited 155.

The wipers work, but intermitent is not intermitent. Typically intermitent speeds up as the speed increases, but after the speed limiter defeat they do not adjust to speed, they are always running at the increased speed frequency.
