Wedge Performance custom N54 tune FTW
Hey Guys,
I had to post up and tell you guys about what I've been up to. I've been running a JB4 G5 ISO for about a year. I was happy at first, though as time went on and I started to get used to the power I realized that this tune was very unpredictable and all the cool "features" lost their appeal. Flash forward to a few weeks ago - I rode in Kens 335i. This was an experience! It blew my mind! I had no idea that an N54 could pull the way his car did. It was SO. DAMN. POWERFUL. It just kept pulling. Very smooth all the way through the power band. I was hooked! We talked for a long time about what he was doing with his custom tunes and how far he has come in the last few months. I knew right there that I had to get an AccessPort and the Wedge Tune ASAP! Today was my day. I got my AP and Ken sent me his aggressive 92 oct pump gas tune. OH MY GOD! The difference is absolutely incredible. I have been missing out. This tune completely changed how my car drives. Its scary fast all the time. Comparatively, lag is drastically reduced, boost is higher throughout the rev range with no peaky torque loss that I used to feel. The tune is also much more responsive. I used to find that the JB maps kept my turbos always trying to spool up which occasionally made the car seem to surge unnecessarily. All of that is gone and I'm left with a V8 like pull, which I told Ken I wanted. Its very smooth, very addicting and completely drive able. My wife wouldn't feel a like anything was different.. unless she floored it. My tune is based off of the Wedge Performance aggressive map, but tuned down here and there as it was tailored for my car specifically. Besides the fact that Ken himself is a great guy, easy to deal with, courteous, knowledgeable and he was willing to speak to a tuning n00b like me was great - but his work speaks for it self! Its way more than I was expecting. Night/Day. I'll get some dyno numbers in the coming weeks because I am still honestly shocked at how powerful this tune is. I can't get enough of it! The difference is worth whatever doubts or hesitations you might have if you're even considering a custom tune of your own - FBO or not, Wedge Performance will not disappoint. @wedgeperformance Thanks man EDIT - Dyno numbers and graph on page 3

Woohoo! More great reviews. I'm currently in the works with Ken and a custom e50 "kill map" when I run e50 or when I'm feeling the need for power. Planning on running either e30 OFT or stg2+FMiC linear for daily. im excited for the Dyno day!

You said your tune is based off the Wedge performance aggressive map? Where can I get a copy of this map to try out?

+1 for wedge, he made my rbs come alive after I was ready to ditch them when running the bms flash.

Ken is a great guy! I was a total noob and he was very patient with me. I am running his aggressive 93 octane street tune and it is nuts! The logs are perfect and no post shift timing corrections. I may be imagining it, but I'm pretty sure my car is shifting faster as well.
Something I wanted to bring up that no one has mentioned yet is the increased fuel economy over the cobb OTS maps. In normal street driving, I have picked up 60Km per tank and 100km per tank on highway driving. It is literally paying for itself! Get his tune!
