I am new to the forum and have just purchsed and installed the sstt.
Day 1 after negotiating the tight confines I successfully installed with minor skin loss. (I put the car into sleep mode but did not disconnect the battery)
I eagerly went for a test drive. After about 10 min. of driving to let the car warm up i tried a full aceleration run in 2nd gear (paddle shift, automatic)their was a light rain falling but the streets were mostly dry.
WOW this was a completely different car. at around 4k RPM the car lit up like a christmas tree and the back end was fish tailing crazily.(is that a word?)
same result on day 2 same conditions.
NOW day 3 the roads are dry I try a full run to 60 from a stop light ANNNND it
feels exactly as it did stock???? In first gear the tires barely hazed and no crazy 4k hit???????????????????
I tried many short burst through out the day and all were the same?

Am I missing something?

You have 30+ more HP than stock so you should definitely feel a difference. Might try some higher octane if you want to feel even more power.

+40whp on average ... in fact, mine was 50whp (green line in dyno). Yes, you are missing something ....

Those numbers seem kind of low. I'd feel like I was going in slow motion at 333 HP.

That's all relative. Sure, an M5 is much more powerful than a 335i, but it also costs about $50,000 more. The fact is, the 335i obliterates all of the competition in its class. With a few upgrades (piggyback, flash, etc.) it can become quite formidable for its size/class. In the newest model range offered by BMW, excluding the new M3 (which is not out in the US), I believe only the M5 and M6 are faster than the 335i. It may not be a "monster," but a performance car nonetheless.

Who said I'm trolling? Did you guys even watch the video? The 2001 Camaro was basically pulling just as much as the 335i and that car is 7 years old. You would think a new 335i would be able to beat a 2001 Camaro a lot easier than that.

I never brought up the fact I drive an M5, you guys did. I don't race so I don't really care about street racing. I just stated my opinion that the cars both looked kind of slow. It's okay to disagree.

Give the ECU time to adapt to the TT.Use 93 octane if available and i,m sure after a couple days of driving you will feel the difference. Drive the car hard for about a hundred miles,and i,m sure that will do it.

That's 72+whp over baseline. Plus, that dyno (Dyno Dynamics) shows low numbers, that's why that number is so impressive.

Chew on this fact ... I have over 400 ft-lb of Torque, you have 383 in your M5. You do zero to sixty in 4.4 seconds, there are 335i's doing around 4. And they saved 30k .... what were you saying about slow???

I felt a significant difference at first then on the 3rd day it feels as stock?
