SSTT 2
Ok, i dont have any new info on it. Im just tired of trying to find the thread that we started discussing this about.
So far we have: Will be plug and play like the original SSTT Will be a Add-on to the original SSTT and current SSTT owners can upgrade. We dont have any pricing info nor when it will be out. Though Jeff stated sometime within the next month or so. BTW i love my fricking SSTT and i cant wait to see what they got in store for the Stage 2 Discuss.... |

love mine aswell. the plug and play is just awesome. the power is great and the service is awesome. have been running it on mine for a while now and logged a couple thousand miles, never one issue.
if i am not mistaken, the SSTT does actually increase fuel. and it makes the right amount for the boost it is running safely. cant wait for V2 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...03&postcount=1 |

i think the facts are in the post i linked. there are over 1k units on the road, im sure by now someone would have heating issues and engines blowing if it were running lean. i dont like to take too much info from another tuner of another product, this site has become too biased to do so.
yea the SSTT def. adds enough fuel for the psi it is running. but if and or the my guess is that the SSTT2 will be for high octane or race fuel only. |

I doubt that the SSTT adds that much fuel by itself (although there is some discussion that it attenuates the IAT signal to add fuel). What it does is only add boost within the parameters of what the ECU is capable of adapting to itself. Follow this analysis...if you add boost, you are effectively adding air. Right? So we know SSTT adds boost. If fuel was not added then the afr would go all to heck in a hand basket and we would have radical detonation. But that is NOT what happens. The afr stays right at the factory levels. Since we know there is more air, by definition the fact that the air/fuel ratio is the same means that more fuel has been added. Exactly how it does that is Split Second's trade secret. PLEASE...let's not get into a pissing contest about whether or not this is a safe afr. That is NOT the point of my comment. Has anybody with a SSTT added a wideband 02 sensor for dyno runs or is everybody just putting a sniffer in the tail pipe?

Brisk,
Are you using any aftermarket air filter with your SSTT? I know a couple of guys on here are. Not sure if that makes a huge difference with the SSTT.
