403 RWTQ: I am happy!
I dynoed the 335 today. I got over 400 RWTQ and 332 RWHP. The AFR looks good.
See graphs below. PDF has the AFR. V2.02 January edition, 94% setting, Exxon 93. 403.4 RWTQ, assuming a 13% power loss, is 464 lb/ft or 629 Nm for the rest of the planet. |

nice torque but I am wondering why the v2s are not making that much hp up top.wasnt the procede supposed to smoke the excede and the v2 to break 370whp?
Alot of you guys are gona be suprissed how well the new M3 pulls up top. Some mag dynoed one at 373whp at like 8000rpms. is it me or is the procede dialing it back some with every new update. |

why is your whp so low? what type of modification do you have on your car?.. what is the procede v2.02 version do you have? Procede v2.02 should make more than that according to Dynojet from Vishnu... Unless The whole whp and wtq hyped from vishnu is totally false. the techician who dynoed your car do you know what gear he was on ? I have not dyno my car yet. i will soon.. i will post it later once i have a chance to do so.

His hp is NOT low. I got 326 and 2 of my other friends got 330whp as well. 350whp was just marketing BS fron Vishnu! This is the 6th or 7th dyno around 330whp that I see in the last 7 days. 350whp my ass!!! Now, the truth is coming out.

I have an ITG filter. Low RWHP may be due to our winter gas here, with its 10% ethanol.
In real life driving, torque is more important than pure power, but yes, 400/400 would have been nice! Compared to 1.45, the torque arrives in a much more civilized way and, even though this dyno certainly does not demonstrate it, I feel the engine revs more happily and with more power. I purposedly returned to the place where the DC gang got the PROcede V1.3 installed by SHiv, so that the operator is familiar with the 335. When I look at my AFR, I wonder if I should increase the boost to 96% above 5000 rpm? Last edited by WilyB; 01-21-2008 at 02:23 PM.. Reason: Added picture |

lol you guys are seriously juvenile...
As we know, the #'s need to be taken with a grain of salt when they are two different dynjoets by the same manufacturer or even the same dynojet on different days. 1) Did you look at temps 2) Did you look at boost pressure 3) Did you look at humidity 4) Did you look at altitude The list goes one.

I don't think so but if they did it was a different dyno, on this dyno they wouldn't

1) Did you look at temps Around 60F 2) Did you look at boost pressure Did not measure it, but set chart at 94% 3) Did you look at humidity About 20% today 4) Did you look at altitude 539 ft (164 m) |

I think its the map... My car made 370WHP on 94 oct... With FMIC, catless DP's, full exhaust, cold air intake... I also made 450WTQ, on the dyno boost spiked here and there and i think when Shiv releases the correct maps for the mods on the car everything will run a lot better and show higher HP numbers. I like my power but if it was more even it would be better. instead of 370hp and 450tq i would be good with 400hp and 420tq... Im sure we will get there soon enough, i just dont understand why this car puts out so much torque compared to hp...

There were three of us 335 with V2 on 92 oct, 58F, 50% Humidity, 94% values, 15psi boost ----- and we all made 330whp.....two days ago, same time, same dyno. Those are all gread conditions. It doesn't get any better than that. Dyno differences will not be 20-30whp. Let's just face it. V2 makes 10whp more than 1.47. Period!

I don't understand how you are basing your claims, regarding the differences in dynos. We have seen evos make 390whp on a Dyno Dynamics, and then make 499whp on a dynojet, the very next day. While that example may be a little extreme, because of the large HP numbers to begin with, it is valid. A dynomite dyno is not exactly the industry standard, and it's results should be viewed as such. Without knowing much about a dynomite, I believe it is an eddy-current dyno, which will not only create a lower number than a dynojet, but will also create a different torque curve, due to the way it loads the car. As always, be careful when comparing the results of different dynos.
As for your claims regarding the extra power v2 provides, every install I have personally dynoed has made AT LEAST an extra 20 peak hp at the wheels, with gains much larger when comparing the delta at redline. Quote:

I wasn't knocking Procede AT ALL, just saying that the Dinan dyno numbers are turning out to be pretty impressive. Dinan's initial posted numbers received some criticism from skeptics, who believed that the numbers posted were a bit optimistic. It seems now that the Procede is experiencing the same thing. Won't allow hypocrisy around here. But, here you go again... |

HP is just a ratio. Torque is what matters.
Comparing dyno to dyno is dumb. I'm sorry to all you people who are either dissapointed by this, or think Shiv is ripping people off or lying, but even the same exact dyno can give different readings based on lots of other parameters. I, personally, think these numbers are great. I'd want to know why it's so rich up top (which is definitely taking some power away), but otherwise, congrats! 400wtq with just a tune and a filter is OBNOXIOUS! |
