I have the same questions. It's going to get to the point of either respraying my front fenders, bumper, hood or wrapping.

a wrap job is usually 2-3k for some ungodly reason. You can respray a car for 3k. a body panel is usually around $300 sprayed + tax. Sometimes more but it shouldn't be.

where's the "i see what you did there" meme?
Just respray the car and get a clear bra...wrap is pricey and plastidip is just wrong...I went through the same dilemma last year and went for the respray I'd maybe consider a wrap if i was wrapping just a panel like the roof or mirrors. Just my 2c |

If you like black, just respray it. If you want a custom color or matte finish, wrap it. The costs are similar. My car is wrapped lime green and obviously I didn't want to paint it that color. Wraps are $2-3K because the materials alone are $4-700 for name brand stuff and then it's 40+ hours of labor for an entire car. It's probably easier to paint a car labor wise than it is to wrap it. The person the wrapped mine initially also paints cars and she said the wrap was much worse labor wise. Basically the bumpers are terrible to do because of all the detail. The rest of it is pretty easy.
