Tire Pressure

Anyone go to the gas station compressors to maintain their tire pressure?

I think those gauges are junk (have my own) and wonder if the air quality matters. These things are broken so often it's a waste of time.

Looking for recommendations for a quality but inexpensive air compressor to add to the ridiculous amount of tools that I have.

I had an earlier model of the Black & Decker air Station which worked well for about 15 years.
