***teaser*** Asr Engineering Cai
ok, I know I've been promising you guys there was something big coming our way for the 335i intake... well I couldn't take it anymore so i'm gonna post some teaser pics for you
Remember this is still the jig but it gives you a very close idea of how the final version will look like. Abid@ASREngineering was hesitant on me posting these pics since it's not done yet so i told him I'd think about it LOL remember guys this is the same company that has the worlds FIRST UPGRADED Twin Turbo 335i!!! (Still in R&D...I've said too much...) The final intake will be TIG welded together and on another note He has also fabricated a Charge Pipe for the BOV! Now To use this intake(because of its massive size) you'll actually have to buy it inconjunction with the Charge Pipe for Best results...Its gonna be worth it! No crying! The Intake will also include a steel braided line for the break booster! I think It looks awesome and considering the 'glory intake' is making the most power, well imaging that intake with an actual design to it and a cold air box!! Remember guys this is basically the prototype version, final version will most likely be carbon fiber, black plastic, or another option... And the intake will become a ram air intake as there will be two ram air vents behind the kidney grills sucking in cold air for the box! No they are not like the previous designed ones that were on this forum before, these will actually be a rounded design making for maximum airflow with almost NO turbulence!! Woo hoo a glorious teaser for all the members today!!

Hamster wheel? LOL. But seriously, that is pretty ugly, might be functional, but that wouldnt go in my car.

Thats the only thing I hate about most of the CAI or intake systems. You always have to switch to a BOV.
Other than that nice work. I would really like to see the final product.

I think it would be cool if air fed in the box not only from the OEM rubber piping but also from the same hole in the fender where other vendors are feeding their CAI from (ex- stett)

It looks like the sides of the box dont meet up, is it supposed to be that way? And whats the purpose? More power? If so, how much more?

You really need to make a lid for it and forget the sealing against the hood idea. The first time the fitment is a bit off and someone dimples their hood you won't have much room to talk about Stett's rubbing issues. |

IM sorry guys I almost completely forgot.... the intake set up includes RAM scoops that pull air directly into the stock intake tubing to where the filters are.... picture what RPI did, but more functional (dont wanna bad mouth anyone) but these are actually sloped so that there is no turbulence in the air flow like the square cut ones out right now...I will update OP
