From what I read online you loose a bit of power in first and 2nd gear without it with a tune, but nothing significant. I do not think it is a must at first but over time the stock charge pipe and diverter valves will start to fail. I know mine are now.
I will post pics of it installed later today.

Like all AA products, this charge pipe is top notch quality. Same can be said about ER.

No need to get a tune with the charge pipe. It can be used with any stage as it does not add any power. It is for reliability since the stock one will fail sooner or later.

Here are more pictures of the AA charge pipe and BOV installed.

huge shout out to ACI Dynamix in Seymour CT for doing the work. They fix a few other issues they found while installing the charge pipe and bov. The car has never been running so good!!

Here are some other shots from the shop. They have a few other project going on as well. Enjoy!!!

Can you get this pipe in chrome/polished instead of black?

I have 95k miles on it. I've installed FBO GIAC Stage II on 38k miles. Charge pipe and diverter valves have been shot now for about 6 months, but winter was here so I waited.

To give and update on the AA BOV it is loud from the outside, but from inside the cabin you can hear it but it is not loud.

I believe it comes only in black. The pipe is now installed can't measure it.

I may paint it, and make own intercooler pipe.

Thanks!

Just wanted to post an update as I had no clue what to expect with a BOV and did not want something loud and it was intervening when I was making a decision on my daily driver. I am glad that at the end I did not let noise be a factor when making my decision and just went with I thought was the best product out there.

All the videos I saw on this BOV were very loud, however this is only under heavy load when you are racing and you are shifting quickly. I was presently surprised that under normal driving conditions you do not hear it at all. Thus far I am very happy with the choice I made, it is the definitely the best looking set up and its been working very well.

I figure I would share my experience for others. Happy Motoring!!

YES I agree, that is why I am sharing my experience. It is not at all as you would think. Unless you are racing you are not going to hear it!!! You should test drive a car with it and make a decision. Trust me. BOV seems more reliable then a DV from what i read. Anything below half throttle I do not hear it or barely.

I think there is a miss perception on these BOV and loudness. I thought I was going to regret this set up because of the whoosh noise but it is not the case at all.
