335XI 6MT with 2-step: What are your experiences?
Thinking about installing JB4 2-step for limited use at the 1/4 mile this summer.
My car has 115,000 miles on it, and I will be FB0 by the time I go to the strip. I took it late last season for the first time and it bogged big time off the line so I'm looking to really get off the line in a hurry (I tried a few different techniques discussed here without a huge improvement). What are your experiences with 2-step and AWD in our cars? If I just use it a few times is it just as likely to destroy drivetrain components? Do you guys still slip the clutch a bit? I have tried looking around but haven't seen much for consolidated experiences. Go easy on me!

I used to do it with my Mitsubishi and look forward to doing it with my AWD 6MT, but my clutch is too weak so I'm waiting to get that resolved first. In my launches when I first got the car it would spin all 4 nicely at the strip before the clutch weakened, so I'm feeling confident that as long as I don't have wheelhop issues it will be OK.
