I am all for Sweet Basil, but let me throw another option up there...Casa Blanca in Andover center is wayyyyyy better and more authentic then Plaza (Plaza does have good guac though). If it's good Indian food we are after then Kashmir on rt28 in Salem,NH (on MA/NH line) is definitely the better bet IMO.

edit: btw we are talking about the same Sweet Basil right? In the stop n shop plaza? Just confused by "chinese/japanese" because it's Thai food lol, but maybe we are talking about different places?

BTW nvm about Kashmir, I forgot they only have lunch buffet on Fridays. Their food is still good on other days, but it's a little pricey. Ragaani is my second fav if we are staying close. Otherwise you have to try Udupi in Lowell mmmmm now that is some good vegetarian Indian (and I am not a vegetarian at all!)

I have never been to Casa Blanca but my co workers claim Azteca is superior.

have any of them ever lived on the west coast? because if not then it's understandable but if you want authentic Mexican, casa blanca is significantly close compared to plaza which is no where near and chainyyy...sry I'm kind of a foodie and living on the west coast for 7 years and having Mexican relatives has changed my perspective of authentic Mexican food
