Too late to debadge???
I tried doing a search on this but too many Threads came up...
I have owned my car since Late April 07. It is Jet Black E92 that is not garaged. Do you think it is too late for me to debadge my car? If I do do it, will it leave a discoloration on the paint of where the numbers should be? Is there anything I can do to debadge it after this long and make it look alright? Thanks for your help! |

it will probably not be noticeable. after you debadge, do a polish and wax on the debadge area.. it should not be noticable at all..
back when i had a 2000 civic, i debadged it last year, and after doing a polish + wax , you cannot see the old badge shadow

I did mine after a year and an outline was slightly noticeable so I wet sanded with meg's 3000 unigrit paper and then buffed it now you can't even tell it was there.

Don't even worry about it man.
I have debaged 10 year old cars without problems. Just go over it with some polish and wax once you remove it and you should be good to go. -Don |

It's only the top surfaces that will fade (and most new cars are not bad except reds and oranges), I did mine after 4 years and a little polish and you could not see it.
Wish BMW offered the debadge option here - they do in Europe - just check a box and it comes factory badgeless - it is pretty much the default in Germany - no one likes the badges and 70% of the cars you see are debadged! |
