E92 Fitment Advice

All,

I was wondering if you wheel guru's could help me out. I just got myself a E92 328i. I'm loving it so far. I'm in the market for some wheels, but I'm having a hard time deciding as far as sizing goes. I found a set of 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 wheels. I'm not wanting do any stretch or camber. The car will be lowered on KW coils next week also. So, would it be possible to run these sizes? I know I'll have to roll my rears. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That's what I was trying to figure out. I know space is limited in the fronts of the E92's. I was thinking an offset around 30 up from, 25 rear.

9.5 front, probably 35-38;et with 245/35-19, rear 40-43 with 285/30-19 would work. Ask more people though.

It wont work at front 9.5 et38 wont clear inside. 9.5 et35 might clear inside with stock shocks, but will be like 1mm clearance and some have said 9.5 et35 wont clear inside. Coilovers need even more room for example 19x9.5 et33 and KW v2 has about 1mm clearance and if the tyre don't have any stretch it might hit the inside.

I would say that et30 front would be safest choice, but without camber max size i would do is 235/35/19. So if you consider that to be stretched, then you might need to consider narrower front wheel.

At rear you have more room to play with offset. With like et35ish you could fit 275/30/19 with fender roll.

It's kinda hard to fit aggressive wheels without stretch or camber especially to front.

I am pretty confident 245/35/19 will fit with 9.5 et30 and stock camber. The wheel will be just as flush as mine is with -1.8 camber and et22. There will be more clearance near the bumper since the wheel is more vertical/less of an angle with less camber. Most people would still consider that stretched though. 9"et30 with a 245/35/19 wouldn't be stretched and would be about 5mm from flush.

In the rear camber makes a big difference 10"et25 can be flush but so can 11"et20. Camber can be anywhere from -1.4 to -3 and still be in spec. For me 11"et28 is flush at -1.9 camber.

I have very little wear on my rear tires and I've probably put 20,000 miles on them already. My front tires have a little bit of wear on the inside after about 15000 miles. I am going to flip the tires so they wear more evenly but they still have plenty of tread left. The front is wearing out faster than the rear most likely from turning. I usually buy tires by the pair so it doesn't matter to me that I have to replace the fronts earlier.

Well it might be possible. OP has e92, so plastic fenders and you have your front fenders "hammered flat". I'm just saying that the 235/35/19 is the safer choice. One solution would be to use 235 that runs wider. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...5&postcount=23

Yeah I should have payed more attention to that. The plastic fenders makes it a little more risky, but maybe thay can be shaved .

But then again here is an e92 et33 with 245/35/19 Michelin PSS. I doubt 3mm will make much of a difference especially if its a tire that doesn't run as wide.

Personally I would go with more stretch as well, but thats just because I want more poke and more low than I did when I got tires.

For me I'm looking at 19x9. Best offset guys? 245/35-19 front.
19x11 rear with 305/30-19 and 40-43 offset. Fender roll.
Thoughts?

Go with 9"et30 up front. That is about 5mm from flush. If you want it to be flush or poke you will need some stretch. If you are getting Forgestars I would go with a 9.5 front wheel so it is more concave.

Thank you so much sir. That pretty much answered it for me. I'll wait until I get the KW's and then go from there. As long as I can avoid any extra camber, more than stock, I'll be okay.
