Is anyone on the Liberty? I've been trying to find the boat on http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html but I can never locate it. If anyone knows the callsign please let me know.

Look to your right, my Black Sapphire E93 328 is parked right next to your car. (Well, it could be!)
Anyway, I'm on the Liberty as well. As of 12:00 GMT today (2/9) she was at 45:24N and 29:30W or about 1955 NM from NY harbor. Looks to me like she is going to be a day late into NY but maybe they will speed up. She is due there on the 14th. I get off in Charleston, hopefully soon after the scheduled docking on the 19th. The call-sgin for the Liberty is WRYX. Enjoy the ride. |

For anybody else on the Liberty headed for Charleston, Liberty is underway from Baltimore, currently headed down Chesapeake Bay at 11 kts with an ETA into Charleston of 2/19/08 @ 0500. I am not sure what time zone that is listed in but the most optimistic would be GMT which says she should be there at 1:00 AM EST on Tuesday morning. One interesting point is that both the AIS data and the WWL schedule show Liberty arriving in Charleston on the 19th while the Port of Charleston schedule shows Liberty arriving onthe 20th. I hope WWL really knows when my ship is due to come in!
Now, if the VPC can only do their thing quickly and get my car on a truck headed to Texas the wait could be short. If the VPC is backed up, who knows! |
