MHD IJE0S Advanced Testing

Playing around with some new tables and wanted to share some results. Don't mind the osculations in my RPMs, I pushed the adders up too high and need to back off the PIDs a bit. Regardless I wanted to really push the limits on this test to see how timing would react.

IJE0S on E40 short shifting 3 / 4 / 5... Needless to say, prior to the changes, my timing was taking a dump in 4th and 5th. Over 22 psi in 5th gear with only one minor correction. Check out the crisp shifts from my 99,000 mile automatic transmission.

Just so everyone knows, we are in the process of updating all of our XDF files in our private repository. Once we verify everything is correct, we'll update the public XDF files. Big thanks to jyamona and MHD Tuning for all of there efforts. jyamona is the master mind behind the table discovery and MHD Tuning is updating and standardizing the other XDF files for public release.

I plan to log knock voltage with higher timing today. That will give me a better picture as to what's going on, but from what I can tell it's looking good. This is on stock turbo. Hybrids won't be in for a few weeks. Regardless I was getting 3 to 4 cylinders correcting on post shift sometimes more than 3 deg. I was actually happy to see some correction in 5th gear as the cylinder pressure is really high and we still have some level of safety in play.

P.S. I'm shocked that people are still running Cobb, those AP units are depreciating fairly quickly... lol

VANOS changes are a given, but didn't have the effects the other table changes made.

WedgePerformance Do you think these changes will translate to a v5 maps release for MHD? Also, what about INA0S?

Always trying to make things a little better. We'll see how testing goes but more than likely we'll see a v5 in the near future.

Excuse my ignorance, I am hardly hearing about the MHD tuner, etc. Wedge, are you and BQ going to still support your tuning with the Cobb? Or is the MHD tuner just another method of uploading the maps, therefore Wedge/BQ will still be supporting flash maps, and the method of uploading them is up to the user?

Sell your cobb while people don't know about mhd. And get a MHD.

It's your option to tune with COBB or MHD. We'll support both, but recommend MHD.

Yes we are still support tuning with COBB. I actually use both COBB and MHD . COBB I use as my primary flasher with ATR's Live Tracing. MHD I use for logging, uploading logs, and flashing ROMs ie upgrade downgrade etc, and as a diagnostic tool.
