It has been posted a few times, either way a good read for the technically inclined. I reference this guide all the time when explaining to people whey they are seeing different coolant temperatures when they drive (PG 54 - electric water pump has 4 different settings depending on the driving conditions).

Where are documents like this normally posted? Are they usually available to the public upon release of a new engine, not just for BMWs but manufacturers in general?
