Hi all.
I know there have been a ton of posts regarding the VRSF fmic's. Not gonna post a install thread or anything like that. Just going to point a few pointers for anyone doing it in the future. Read all the DIY's and you should be fine. - as previous posters have mentioned, trimming the shroud will take the longest time. Had the bumper off (got a m3 eBay rep, will post a review after paint) saw the fan shroud and as others have posted rather than trim I just cut the whole front part off. It still took me a while as I didn't want to dremal off too much so I did inch my inch and kept test fitting. That was really the only thing that took a while and it was a scorching day! 35 cel ( 95F) Another problem I encountered was the silicone connectors kept popping off cause I couldn't secure it well enough. This was the silicone on the driver side - connecting to the lower charge pipe. I kept the stock one. Finally got it all tightened up. I recommend tightening the upper connector to the lower charge pipe first. If you got the upgraded upper charge pipe you should have some wiggle room between the silicone connectors above to push it down a bit (I needed to). Once all that is fastened, connect silicone to driver side fmic. That is all the pointers I have. Enjoy. [IMG][/IMG] |
