Turbo warranty

Was there ever a BMW turbo warranty in the UK or Europe similar to the one for North American cars of 8 year or 82k miles and if so does anyone have the official details please?

Sadly not though both the dealer network plus BMW UK are fully aware of the fact that NA offer this far superior support for their customers than offered over here, beauty is NA law is so much more powerful than that over here and indeed mainland Europe.

And the network are also aware just how flimsy the standard item is too

That's interesting. I literally just finished sending them an enquiry to ask if they've ever done work on N54 Turbos.

I couldn't see any stage 2's.

Their not listed on the website but if you speak to Dan @ TD he can tell you about them, they're not much more than the stage 1's tbh

TD M535/MD536 specification features:

-TD04 15T Billet compressor wheel
-TD04L Turbine wheel- with lightening modifications to reduce back pressure
-Modifications to the both the bearing housings and bearings to suit the larger turbine wheels
-Upgrade TD04 Thrust assembly
-Bespoke TD wastgate assemblies, to eliminate the wastegate rattle issues

I got a good deal on having my turbos hybrid to the above stage 2 spec when I spoke to Dan about being a forum member 😉

As just posted they do do them as Andy has them too and my mate has just had his back from them fully done.

Yep, they're fantastic, would highly recommend TD Stage 2s. Even without getting my JB4 on yet (new job, holiday, cranky pregnant missus etc), I noticed a difference.

Dan at TD was really helpful, provided an absolute ton of pics and the pricing is competitive compared to RB or Vargas with shipping and core returns taken into account.

I would like to echo everything AndyN says, esp once the JB4 and the car is flashed 😀 Turbo Dynamics are a real alternative for us here in the UK.

cool. Well my turbos seem good right now, but just how long they can keep up 20 psi I don't know.
Better start saving! It's good to know there are UK options.
