Can anyone comment on CPE Cat-Back??
Hey everyone,
I have a 2008 335 xi (sedan) with CP-E downpipes among other modifications. I'm trying to get to 400 awhp without meth or ethanol and I'm sitting at about 375 awhp at the moment. I have NOT done a cat-back as of yet mostly because it's hard to choose the right sound, but also the cost is pretty substantial. Thats said, I'm leaning toward a CP-E system because the downpipes were such high quality stuff. Does anyone have (1) a dyno comparison with and without CP-E cat-back to determine the potential gain from that modification on a pro-tuned car and (2) pictures/sound clips that show off the tail pipes and sound?? I've seen the Cobb set-up in the flesh and love the sound but I don't like the tips; they're just a bit too big for my "sleeper" plan... Hence, I'd like pipes of that same quality but a bit smaller..... Also, if anyone has a system that add's 10-15awhp that sounds good - and looks stock or better - without being "too loud", please let me know.. Thanks for the comments.

I had a CP-E axleback (with the "anti-drone" pipe) on my 135 for about a year. I ended up getting rid of it because I grew tired of the droning at about 60. Much happier with the BMWPE. Granted the e90 is a totally different deal then an e82, but thought I'd share my cp-e experience anyway.

But I'm not willing to shell out $2000 for some pipe. There are other ways to make more HP for much less.
