DP install cost
I've talked to a few local shops and have received quotes from $150 up to $350. The difference appears to be regarding them having to drop the sub frame. I recall reading somewhere on here that the sub frame drop is not required. (maybe just for non Xdrives?)
Any Xdrive guys/gals share their experience and what you paid? Thanks |

All the places I've contacted i received a quote around 275-350. Also I believe subframe does have to be dropped for XI. Not 100% sure but pretty sure haha.

Thanks guys. I had a "reputable shop" in town quote $700! That's nuts.

DIY=free and a good learning experience. It's not hard at all just tedious. Get the right tools and you'll be golden. A novice could do it in 4-5 hours if they stopped for beer.

Subframe HAS to be dropped. If you look there isn't any clearance otherwise. And I personally thought dropping the subframe really wasn't that bad, removing the stock downpipes was worse

quoted 200$, when they realized the extra work since its xi they said it would be another hour labor so i got out around 300$. I wasn't upset about it because I didn't mention the X Drive part and I was expecting the call

Thanks everybody. I've decided on a shop that quoted me $175. That being said I won't be mad if I get a call telling me it's going be a few bucks more once they realize the sub frame has to dropped. I'm excited to get the DP'd done change my Cobb map to stage 2.
