2015 BMWCCA Boston Chapter Narragansett Show & Shine

I recently entered my car in the BMWCCA Boston Chapter RI Show & Shine in Narragansett,RI. Many photos were taken, however, due to an incoming child, I've been busy and only just last night got around to finishing up my edits.

My car is the SGM E90 with the CCW D15's...and yes, before anyone decides to talk shit, I fully realize the stretch on my tires is excessive. I bought the wheels from a kid in NJ 2 months ago and these were the tires that he had mounted. While they were brand new, I'm not used to this amount of stretch, especially not for a daily driver. Once winter comes and I swap over to my snow tires, I'll be replacing the tires on the CCWs with some larger tires to reduce/remove the stretch.

Side note, the front wheels are 18x9.5 et20 (215/35 Neo Gen Tires), while the rears are 18x10 et25 (215/40 Federal SS Tires). Was possibly thinking of swapping the rear tires up to the front wheels and then getting new rear tires. If anyone has any advice on what tire size(s) I could get to rid myself of the stretch, while also not rubbing, I'm all ears. My car is lowered on BC Racing coilovers, so I'm able to adjust the camber to help avoid rubbing, if need be. And I know a really good fender roller, which is another potential solution.

Onto the photos!

I would say, just raise it up a bit and put on some decent summer tires (since you have a winter set) and ditch the shitty brand x tires. Obviously on the pricier side there's Michelin PSS, but the Bridgestone Potenza S04 is decent as well. The one place an owner should never cheap out is on tires.

The style 162's I sold before buying the CCW's had Hankook Ventus V12 evo2's that I had purchased the year before and I really liked those. May very well go back to them. Thanks for your input.

Much appreciated, dude!

I could blame it on the little hills in the area (just take a look at any picture with my car from the rear...the gap on the passenger, rear tire is terrible....but it's because the front of my car was parked slightly pointing down), but the M6 was clearly on a pretty flat area. Regardless, the car was CLEAN and I'd take it in a heartbeat. I'd then lower it and get new wheels, of course!

Your car will look great once you put proper sized tires on those wheels for sure!

LMAO...hey, in my defense, I was very upfront with the fact that I did not mount those tires nor do I like the massively stretched look. A tiny bit of stretch is OK in my book.

Next spring, though, they'll be mounted with proper fitting tires and it'll look so badass.

Hankook is a good tire for a decent price, but they can get noisy as they wear. Might also recommend BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2 - pretty decent tire and moderately priced. BFG is also owned by Michelin so there's that.

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
