Exhausts!
Hey guys, pretty soon looking to get another exhaust for my car and I was wondering which brands are "Raspy" "higher pitched" and not deep like the current set up I have (Circuit Werks).
Looking for: Quads and Dual.

Rasp is god like, also interested in how to obtain rasp from the n54 i only ever get a bit of rasp if i wind out a gear slowly without boost or wot. Sounds absolutely intoxicating and not sure why so many guys on this forum dislike rasp, theres nothing more exotic than a decent rasp at high rpm.

Performance exhaust with no cats would rasp for sure. I have it with all 4 cats and when cold it rasps slightly. I'd like to get downpipes someday and think that it would sound perfect with just the secondary cats, or no cats and resonators instead.

Tips are easy to weld on, what you want is the right sounding system. Get a PE and get some quad tips welded on. With enough money at your disposal you can do anything!

I have this setup now on the 1M along with maddad midpipes, which have resonators instead of secondary cats. Sound is great. I'll get some video eventually.

PE exhaust full catless sounds like absolute b-hole.
Think- worst sounding civic x 20 and then add a bit more. Sounded like someone was ripping ass directly into a kazoo That being said, with catless downpipes + mids in place, the PE sounds great- got more compliments on that setup than I can count. |

I have PE modded mufflers with VRSF downpipes that have light rasp at top end. I personally love it, very exotic and not ricy at all. Happens only when you go WOT and it's very minimal from 4.5k-6k. Otherswise it stays pretty tame under normal load but pretty loud when wanted. Highly recommend this setup because it doesn't drone and quite inside cabin with windows up.

I've had both OEM PE mufflers and PE modded mufflers and they're both great! But, I'll always favor OEM PE because it's my first exhaust mod and it holds a special in my heart. 😂 Lol sounds incredible and is entoxicsting. Here's my playlist of best PE videos on YouTube to help you make the decision:
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...5lGnA5sWt4lAfb Can't go wrong with either but PE modded mufflers you can choose the amount of baffling material you want to use. I stuffed my mufflers with extra baffling material so it doesn't rasp or drone. Pretty much got exactly what I wanted. 👍🏻

I actually have a PE with catless downpipes and secondary cat deletes but resonators welded in place and i think this is the sound you are going for! It has that rasp past 5k but down low it still has a nice growl to it. I'd get some sound clips but im too poor for a gopro or anything like that LOL
I've also had an AE quad exhaust in the past also with catless DPs and to be honest it's not as raspy as you would think and its also a very tame exhaust so don't expect it to be loud although it did have a very nice clean tone to it compared to a lot of the other exhausts out there.
