Engine bay component, what is it?
Hi everyone,
I basically need to know what this part is behind the oil filter, the rusty headed thing, it's on a 2011 320d if that helps? My reason for asking is I have a noise on turnover that's basically like a squeak/scratching noise, wondering if it could be coming from this as its getting annoying now and hard to diagnose as its only there half a second on initial start up, Any help appreciated Thanks |

Thanks for the response buddy, Heard another e91 start up next to me yesterday making the exact same noise! He drove off before I could ask if he knew what it was though! Is the starter at the back of the engine? Sounds like that fuel pump area to me |

Thanks buddy, really bugging me!!
What confuses me is at 6am it starts up fine I don't know if it's because it's super cold or what, but after this it gets noisier again very confusing! |
