X posted dme q's and help needed for 08 335xi

Car took a shit on me for the eleventeenth time. Gave her a couple hard pulls, mods are jb4, e20 and bmw dci. Then limp mode and lots of codes. Not sure on this one.

30BA DME internal failure
29CD-CF Misfire codes for cylinder 1-3
29DC injection switch off

Cleared codes still limp mode then this along with fuel smell. So it was rich, could unburned fuel have caused these other two?
30BA DME Internal failure
2D60 fuel mass, monitoring
2C3B Lambda probe in front of catalytic converter, not plugged

Cleared and still in limp mode with only
30BA DME Internal failure

Car has been running fine up to roughly my own e30-e35 mix for months. Recently found e20 out of the pump, still ran good. Needs walnut blasting, idle not super smooth, but new plugs and coils. Pulls hard, but I can tell the valves are caked unevenly. Should pull harder. Hasn't thrown me into limp mode since before I swapped coils 5 months ago. Does it sound like new mosfets are needed?

Please advise and thanks!

Sounds like your DME is fried.
Is it an 07?

You usually need to replace the coil pack on the cylinder that blew the mosfet on the DME also.

I have 5 spares. I also have time to tear the dme out and check the mosfets. Will these work?

Oh, all codes but the DME failure went away so that's why I'm leaning towards the MOSFET's.

Tested all mosfets, cylinder one mosfet is toast. Could that cause the dme internal failure code 30BA....anyone? Also my trims were out of whack according to a log at the beginning of the month. I just read it to my mechanic, but he's not a bmw mechanic, so he's not sure how one bad mosfet would affect the dme.

Yes, it will throw that DME error code.
I would spend some time searching this site on DME failures, all the info is at your fingertips and can explain things better than I can.

Ended up just sending dme out to be diagnosed and fixed. They confirmed what I already knew. Set me back $220, but came with lifetime warranty. Now I lost my key fob when I flipped my rig in the ice last Monday. When it rains it pours...
