Gas or Charcoal
After seeing this thread topic on BBQ and Grilling
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1118770 i have always thought what do people prefer to grill with i personally think charcoal does give that 'special' taste but i assume also that it's probably less healthier than gas Charcoal is still very commonly used when 'braai-ing' in South Africa

Gas!!
Although I do love when my wife and I visit my parents they grill out on his Green Egg.. and the Steaks always come out amazing!! But I personally am tired of grilling with Charcoal.. I prefer Gas .. It's easier and I'm not the biggest fan of the Smokey taste on my meats.

I have both a charcoal and gas grill out on the deck. I prefer charcoal for the flavor, but on windy days it is much safer to use the gas. Gas is also quicker if time is an issue.

This is like 6MT vs. DCT. I have gas grill because it is so much easier and separate smoker for when I want to smoke a turkey. I also drive DCT.

I have only owned a charcoal grill for the last 3 years and don't miss gas at all.

Charcoal. It takes longer but thats part of the reason I enjoy it. Get some beer and you get to enjoy the next few hours while you cook meat. As a result though grilling at our house is typically done on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My ideal out door cooking area would have a small gas grill off to the side for a quicker cooking time during the week. Id also want a recessed power burner for crawfish, crabs, or whatever else.

It's like an outdoor over, grill, smoker combined into one!
