I have vrsf but I imagine any silicone 90 may do this...

I finally got it on the rear turbo but the 90 degree bend seems like it crimps a bit. Due to the firewall pushing it to less than a 90 degree angle.

Anyone have something similar happen?

I took a break. Hands are all cut up. It's basically just a pic of the silicone 90 degree bend that goes on the rear turbo.

Mine bends more than 90 degrees. I thought about pulling it off and trimming the silicone a bit but I'm not sure of that would help.

Mine are the larger 2in inlets though.

I actually passed 6th grade geometry, so to answer your question, no I did not have anything similar happen. But cutting the silicone 1-1.5 cm shorter helped. I should be a fvcking rocket scientist.

Pretty sure VRSF designs them to incorporate performance sandwiching. This is to make sure you have adequate backpressure on your inlet track to comply to state and federal requirements.

Had to trim like 1cm off.

Let me clarify, the angle of the bend decreases. Not increases.

Trimming a bit is your best solution if it's half an inch off

You shouldn't need to but we include extra just in case.

Remove, cut, install, then repeat as needed.. Or buy a set that actually fits..

Ya because cutting 1cm of silicone is flat unacceptable. I mean, you drive a BMW, you've got more class than that. I'd stick with stock inlets. They're plastic. If you are so ignorant and incapable that you are unable or unwilling to perfect fitment to your car, maybe you shouldn't be modifying cars.

Ok I cut 1 cm off. For those that have successfully fit them. When you put the 90 degree silicone on the metal 90 bend, did you put it on as far as you could or barely?

Any guidance there?
