Trouble resetting service indicator

E93, 2008 with iDrive.

Hi guys,

I've been getting a warning that my rear pads need changing for a few weeks now. I've checked the pads and they are still fine.

This morning I tried to reset the yellow indicator, following various instructions I've found on here. The first time I managed to get into the service menu, found the rear pads and done what I thought I needed to. When I came out of the menu I'm now getting a red warning and words on the iDrive that the pads need changing (front & back). When I tried to go into the service menu again I can get the yellow exclamation mark (service) to appear but it goes out after a second and reverts back to showing temperature and time. I cannot get into the service menu anymore.

Does anyone have any ideas to help?

Thank you.

Update, managed to get into the service menu, I wasn't pushing the ignition button before holding in the odometer.

However I cannot rest either front or rear brakes, the mileage is just showing as -------

I try the reset, get the spinning clock, but nothing. Now I just get the red car on a ramp indicator when I turn the car on and off.

Is the only option to get new sensors?

Yeh new sensors required, my brothers did exactly this.

Or if your feeling cheap, remove the old sensors, cut the wires and solder or crimp them together, and reinstall.
