Sticky wastegates?
I'll mention that I've suspected that my turbos may have sticky wastegates in the past (irregular boost, then manually moved WG's, viola they worked). Tonight was a very similar story. On the expressway, boost would hit normal. Next hit, it would lag lag lag then hit hard out of nowhere. Next hit, max boost would be 7psi (target was 15psi). Logs look normal.
Every single time it wouldn't hit target, if I tapped the throttle a few times before going WOT, it would hit boost target just fine. Has anyone else experienced these issues? Wondering if new turbos are on the horizon shortly |
