I found those guys on YouTube a week ago or so and spoke with him briefly. Definatly a cool guy and nice video.

Had to remind myself you too were 20 but after getting past that looks like fun. Have ran across another video from then before at some point.

The key reference I would take that they pointed out of how lucky this platform is to have the tunes/tools/technology at the prices we get it for. Like they referenced you aren't getting a VW tune for under $500 and you can do NOTHING with it. The closest thing to MHD and TunerPro is a $800 base price eurodyne maestro which still pales in comparison.

They are a little delusional about this being the future (for BMW anyway) the way BMW is encrypting and locking up ECUs. Nothing has been cracked since 2011.

Thanks guys. May seem a bit young, I'm 18 and alex is 19. We're going to put together a much more comprehensive review playing around with the features like boost by gear and whatnot. Main point I wanted to make was how impressed I was by the difference between this and my old jb4. It's honestly night and day- the video showcases our reactions perfectly. And yes, the vw guys are much less lucky. Tunes are expensive, and they are basic and conservative. Multiple friends of mine with mkv gtis with that stage 2 unitronic tune have dynoed about 40-50hp lower than what was advertised from unitronic. All in all Ken is amazing and we're very lucky to have him as a tuner. Very impressed

I'm all for hooning but as safe as possible and definitely with enough plausible deniability to ensure I can still hold a drivers license.

Its a cool video for the reason that they show everyone who has no clue how to install the MHD.

Cool video, but those guys better not come crashing into me while trying to look up error codes lol. Pull over and look it up. Only takes a minute, and is much safer. I know you get worried going into limp mode, but its cheaper to replace a spark plug than an entire car, worse yet someones life.

Why would it be embarrassing for me. It's a video made by a couple of kids who think MHD is cool and are happy with the performance they achieved with little effort and little expense.

I agree the video is a bit raw and way too long. But they had fun doing it... Constructive criticism is fine, but I would never criticize them for making this. Everyone started somewhere.

Nothing wrong with it all, it keeps the aftermarket going. It's been amusing to watch the market and the content of the various forums as the demographics have trended downward in the eight yrs I've been on here.

Thank you. In hindsight I recognize that pulling over to check the codes would've been the right call- but I was so worried haha. I've never had a misfire on that car before so I was totally spooked. Can't wait to try the new maps and once it's warm outside I'll start running e85
