Customized Performance Calipers on E90 Sedan
Hi folks. Just finished a neat little brake project, thought i'd share.
Bought a used set of BMW Performance brakes, rebuilt them, then had them powder-coated, then added some old school BMW lettering. Swapped out the old rotors for drilled and slotted, then replaced the lines with steel braiding. Whattaya think? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Great work but must tell you other than visually they are not a performance upgrade to 335i brakes.
Nevertheless they look amazing! Is the lettering power coated too? |

Looks tight AF. Well done. I did something similar last year, not powder coated but at my OEM calipers all sand blasted then I painted them with high temp paint myself. Applied some high temp stickers then coated them in a clear coat.

A friend of mine found a font online, then I took it to a design place, where they cut stencils and high temperature letters. The stenciling didn't work out so well, so we used the high temp vinyl, then clear coated them after the final powdercoating.
