Manual Trans Feeling Crappy

My car just hit 49,000 miles and the shifting of my manual transmission feels fairly crappy. I swapped out the fluid to Royal Purple Synchromax about 17k miles ago right after I bought it and that improved feel. Since then it has been a slow degradation and the trans doesn't go into gear smoothly anymore especially when at a stop. At one point I installed a short shift kit but it was overly notchy and going into R at times felt nearly the same as 1st so I swapped back to the stock short shift arm.

At this point it just generally feels sloppy and it poorly engages. I've read about synchros going out resulting in difficulty in engaging but I have no experience with that and don't know exactly what it would feel like or if it could be the cause. I am looking for general advice on the state of your manual trans at mileage. What should it feel like and if this isn't it, what solutions could exist? I just ordered some new Red Line MTL hoping that will help some. Willing to do what it takes to make shifting feel like the enjoyment I know it can and should feel like.

I hate to tell you this, but i've recently come to the conclusion that our transmissions are POS's. My '13 n55 6mt starting grinding from 1st to 2nd at 23k miles. Like wtf? I just got it replaced under warranty today. Still waiting for break in period to pass.

Have you looked into replacing the mounts?

This is a little scary for me as I dont have warranty. Are there specific aftermarket parts that we can put in to resolve this?

No, haven't done anything yet. I think it could be any one of: the shifter, fluid, mounts, synchros, bad center support bearing, ???. Or more likely a combination of them. Fluid is cheap so I'm doing it again. Not sure how to proceed with troubleshooting beyond that. I am tired of having a car that shifts like a 10 yr old Honda Civic.
