I just completed a cic and combox retrofit into my 2006 e91 325xi.

I bought the car with a dead CCC unit and it didnt have factory bluetooth.

My goals were to get a working radio and have to have bluetooth phone connectivity with bluetooth audio as a huge plus. So i went with a combox cic retrofit for bluetooth audio streaming. I dont care for the bmw apps or connected drive at all.

Pieced together the pieces together from ebay and craigslist.

Everything is almost working... Except with a few things.

Navi works with an ebay hw activation adapter but it is driving me crazy. Every 20 to 40 minutes, the nav screen blacks out and comes back. If remove the hw activator, i never have any issues. I would really like to script activate if someone could give me some guidance as to what files to modify. I can log in and transfer files. I am just a bit lost as to what files to edit.

My other problem is bluetooth audio doesnt work. I can see it from external sources but it is always grayed out. Bluetooth phone works fine. Phone is a iPhone 6 and it a2d's just fine in my other car. Its as if the phone doesnt advertise that its a2dp compatible. If i plug my phone into the combox usb, it works fine with album art and all. I updated the combox to the latest sw listed on bmw's site but it still doesnt work. My cic version is 0b (i know it is too old for apps / connected drive but that isnt important to me) as indicated by ncs expert. I have default coded the combox and cic with the typical array of vo codes and 9/11 build date. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
