Recommendations please

Again sorry for all my stupid questions as i'm just very inexperienced at this detailing stuff. Since i won't be polishing my car due to the fact that i don't have a porter cable or even know how to do it in the first place, what would be the best products for me to use? Wash, Clay, Wax? I understand that polishing a crucial step but with my inexeperience i wouldn't want to butcher my car. I've been looking at products between zaino and chemical guys as i know most of you are big on their products. is there one that you guys prefer over the other? If anyone could reccomend me some basic products to use that would be very much appreciated.

zaino can be a pain in the butt to apply, but it lasts VERY long. CG jetseal is very easy to apply, not positive on how long it lasts.

you also have to consider if you want a wax or sealant. wax is natural, doesnt last as long, sealant is synthetic, but lasts much longer.

I bet you have already read this, but if not.....

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9145

if you have read it....I suggest Chemical guys citrus wash (only for your pre full detail), Poorboys Super suds for maintenance or meguiars gold glass..

and clay i suggest z18 or clay magic bar

and wax could be a number of products... If you are not polishing z5 and then z2 are great sealants, Klasse AIO and SG also good, or maybe even OTC stuff if you are not really into detailing..

+1 One of the great threads on this site.

Wash, clay, seal should be just fine for your car without polishing. Do that every 4-6 months, and wash once every week or so in the meantime. In a year, consider taking it to a professional detailer to be polished. It's not something you have to do all that often, as long as you're careful about how you wash and dry the car (read the linked article).
