Tuning Dilema.. need help.
ok guys.. So ive been really looking into tuning my car with either the JB2HR or the procede V2. Which would you guys prefer? Does the procede v2 make alot more power than the Juice box? The jb2hr comes out to be like $600 while the procede is like almost $2k. Really stuck on which one to choose. Plese help out guys.
Thanks, |

where do you get the 2k number from? $1295 is the price.
http://www.vishnutuning.com/bmw_zero.htm If you buy used, make sure everything is in working order or you will end up like the last guy who posted here for help on his procede Also, if you buy from Vishnu they are in the area and Dustin can probably do the install for you

Its making more power on race gas, not pump. Big difference.

On REGULAR fuel,91 for us so-cal folks as you know yourself, the Haltech (oops, I meant PROcede) will make more power. I just made my own box yesterday basically and the cost comes out to about 96 cents or so, and a couple bucks more if you use BMW pins to make it easier. Not trying to be combative or argumentative in any way, just thought I would give you some insight from a Prof. Tuner perspective.

You just said it yourself, the JB2HR may make more power, but its not recommended. Why? It may not be safe. Ignition timing is the most IMPORTANT aspect of tuning an engine especially in a forced induction relatively high compression application. The JB, SSTT boxes don't do anything for ignition timing and its left to the stock computer to do it. You are running boost well out of its intended range.. I keep things hush hush around here. Don't want to "violate forum rules".

I said it is not recommended to run the JB2HR on 91oct... It is also recommended by Vishnu to not run the Procede At higher than 92% on 91oct as well... Anything else fanboy? |
