Magnaflow 4x9 oval muffler - would this fit on midpipes instead of resonators?
I'm a little different than a lot of guys here - I want my modded car to be as quiet as possible without sacrificing power, and I don't really want that deep exotic exhaust note that many of you are after. Since changing the DP on my car it is a little too loud for me and I want to quiet it down. I was thinking of adding a pair of resonators to the midpipes but was talking to a sales rep at Magnaflow and he recommended this product instead. He said it would quiet it down more than a pair of resonators or their glasspacks as it has an extra layer of sound dampening material in it. It has two straight through pipes with 2.25" inlet/outlets. Will this fit in the midpipes of my car where the resonators are usually installed? My car is a 2011 E90 and has the OEM exhaust.
Magnaflow 4x9 oval #11378 Here is a picture of the midpipes on my car: Thanks, Robert |

Thanks for the helpful advice. My shop already measured for me but they said they couldn't tell if this muffler would fit unless they saw it in person. I thought maybe someone here had already tried installing one of these on this type of car.
