At the price they charge for that, I'd go for an M3 brace. Third of the price, does the job and allows access to servicing like plugs and injectors without removal:

M3 is not worth either as price skyrocketed overtime, $200 more than M1
Either homemade M1 style or OEM M1 is the best value.

#1 Home made $150
#2 M1 $250
#3 M3 $450

I fell in love with that carbon fiber brace when I first saw it, but I could never justify the cost. As a result, I ended up with the BMW Performance aluminum strut tower brace. If you dont mind pre-owned, I've seen the CF brace sell on this forum and ebay for as little as $450.

Most parts are interchangeable. The one you linked for $1500 is not worth it. $150 to $250 for something like this.

How does the 1M brace differ from the M3 brace? I am in the market for one due to coilover adjustment knob hitting the stock brace.

You have the links above. Why don't you compare the two?

How is it your design? From what I read they were just copying the M3 cross bar design in dry carbon.

Because I made hybrid strut bar form 335i and M3 pieces before the M1 came out which has it.

And Mfactory is making the strut tower to strut tower brace, like the one in the OP. Not sure how that makes it your design.

Our design will actually be "modular":

- OEM M3 Style, with 3pc dry-carbon (centre mount, 2 x dry-carbon braces with open-rings/brackets)
- Our brackets will also accept a 4th piece, which will a direct strut-to-strut dry-carbon brace. This is optional, but we decided to offer this based on requests from forum members

Read above, OEM m3 style with center mount, and I have already filed infringement suit

I have the 1M brace on my 135i. The M3 version basically looks nicer, and has a solid aluminum mount where it mounts to the cowl. The 1M brace has two metal rods that go directly to the cowl. The 1M version is also much easier to install because of that.

1M strut brace:

M3 brace:

The parts that sit on top of the struts are the same for both.

Personally I went with the cheaper version.
