I found out from a place in chicago (Drivers Image in Skokie) that it would cost me about $669.00 for a one inch drop. That includes alingment also.

Is that expensive?

Would you know any other place in Chicago where I can get it done?

Pick up a set of used springs and you can go to a tuner to put on. $150 springs, about $100 labor. May want to check one of our sponsors here about the cost.

go to A&L autobody in palatine. anthony is a sponsor on this site; im sure he will be able to take care of you. you just might have to wait awhile because his shop is packed. i just dropped off the x5 yesterday and his lot was full.

rennart quoted me $270 to install springs... then never called me back to let me know if they could get the springs i needed in stock.

that kinda shit pisses me off.

i would say call up anthony or ilia from IND. they will be able to help you out. plus its the same location as A&L.

jbone... don't worry bout the lease... as long as you know you need to and dont mind spending the money to have um pulled out before you give the ride back (and obviously keep the stock parts) you'll be fine. I've got a shit load of mods and a shit load more i want, and i'm leasing too (want to buy at the end though assuming its a good price)

+1 i drive out about 65-70 miles one way to go out there. the x5 is there now.
